Talk about your views/concerns about the future of privacy OR Does privacy really matter? Why/why not? (Don't talk generally! Have a specific focus and argument)
I believe that privacy is important to us because we have our own identity and have right to protect our identity from others. With up to date technologies, people can find everything on the Internet and also everything what people typed or searched is saved as well. For example Google, Google has a lot of controversies over privacy. First everything what people typed on Google is saved for the future therefore if someone shares same computer with other, they can notice what other have searched. Second, Gmail has been one of the major privacy issue for users, according to one of youtube video about Gmail shows how gmail works. Basically Gmail pretty much scanned all users' emails before they sent it and catch some words from email and put some advertisement that is related to their users. I also noticed that the advertisement on my gmail is pretty much related to what I wrote on my email.
Another example would be Facebook, I do not hate Facebook but I am not keen about how they save people's information. For example, on the conditions terms, when you post any photos on your wall, it became Facebook's information even if people deleted from their wall, it is still saved in Facebook. There was one case that there was a mother whose daughter commmited sucided because of getting insulting from on Facebook, her mother wanted to deleted all the insulting message and photos on Facebook actually from Facebook's information not only the wall.
It is great to use the Internet and social networking to connect with friends however people should realize how much information they are releasing to public and others.
